As someone who works from home, the aesthetic and function of furniture is important to Jessica Mack. When she was in the market for shelves for her home office in Colorado, Mack was after something that looked modern but was also sturdy, customizable, and fit well in her home office space.
When her husband stumbled upon Modern Shelving on Instagram, he thought it might be a fit for what his wife was looking for. When Mack looked at the account, she saw several builds that matched the aesthetic she was after. So, she decided to give it a try.
Mack ordered a set of custom shelves to perfectly fit her office space. She wanted the shelves to be sturdy, so they could store books and other important items. After landing on a design she was happy with, Mack placed her order.
Unlike most Modern Shelving customers, Mack found the delivery process to be drawn out and frustrating. Although everything took longer than expected, when Mack received her shelves, she was happy with them and the quality of the product. Her husband helped with the install and although they struggled a little with the first unit, once they got into the flow it was straightforward.
“I went with a custom option,” says Mack. “Now that they’re up I like them a lot. I get comments on them a lot while on video calls.”
