When Ivan Borovikov and his family purchased a new home in Lexington, Massachusetts, they hired a designer to help them organize different spaces in their home. The designer suggested Modern Shelving and after taking a deeper look, Ivan decided it would be a great fit for his home.
“I like the general appearance, sturdiness and customizability of the shelves,” says Ivan. “They appear to be a perfect match for my storage needs.”
Ivan worked with the designer to pick out shelves that would be a good fit for his space. After a couple of iterations, including changing the color and and height of the shelves, Ivan approved the finalized design.
Ivan also used Shelvinator 3D to get a sense for how the shelves would look in his home. He found the tool to be a bit counterintuitive, and ultimately ended up ordering shelves in a different color than he intended. Luckily, it was one of those happy accidents and the color fit the room well.
For the first set of shelves that he ordered, Ivan hired installers. But for his second order, he installed the shelves himself. Everything went smoothly, but a few parts were missing, so Ivan asked to have them sent over. He was impressed with the customer support he received.
Ivan's shelves are in his home office, on which he stores books, pictures, and some necessary items like disc storage. The other set of shelves are in his kids' room and they house books, toys, and a bunch of other items.
Since installing his shelves, some of Ivan's friends have had the opportunity to see his latest home addition and have been impressed. One even called his home office a “dream workspace.”
