Compression Mounted Pole - Floor to Ceiling
Modern Shelving Signature Pole is used for compression floor to ceiling mounted installations where anchoring to wall is not an option. Use 8' pole for Ceiling Heights up to 8' 4" and use with included compression kit. Use 9' pole for Ceiling Heights up to 9' 4" and use with included compression kit. This system is designed to be up close to the wall so the back of the shelves touch the wall. If you are looking for a mid room divider use the DIV system QUAD poles as they are stronger and designed for that use. They can be viewed here.
Actual pole size will be 3" shorter than ceiling Height. Please enter exact ceiling height in checkout notes to receive the correct size pole. Screws recommended to secure final fitting.
The bottom of the pole has black rubber feet.
Can Shelves or Cabinets be placed at any height?
Yes, one Modern Shelving's unique design features is that shelf height and cabinet placement can be anywhere in the vertical range. For example cabinets can be set up high or low, inbetween shelves or at the top or bottom of unit.
Does the Shelf need to be attached to a wall?
Yes, for both strength and safety considerations we believe all modular shelving needs to be secured to the wall. Our system was designed this way for safety and strength and has 12 plus years of market design history and safety records. Mininimally invasive attachment kit included with detailed simple instructions.

How should weight be distributed across the individual shelves?
80lbs per shelf. We recommend placing your heavier items on the lower shelves of your Shelf. Additionally, we suggest evenly distributing your items horizontally across the shelves for maximum stabilty.
