12" Deep Aluminum Shelves
Modern Shelving aluminum shelves are perfect for today and the future! Aluminum is recyclable, sustainable and versatile. The shelves are extruded in the sleek, modern profile with the ridged detail on top offering more strength than a comparable wood shelf.
The clear satin anodized finish provides a durable and corrosion-resistant surface that works well in residential, retail, hospitality and medical environments. Compatible with MOD brackets with retaining pin for wall and pole mounting and shelf end supports for pole mounted designs. You may customize the the length for each shelf once added to your cart. For example, you may order 12"x22" or 12"x33", etc. We will ship them direct to you for easy installation in your wall mounted or pole mounted design. Note that deeper shelves are a combination of sets of combined shelves. For example 12" inch deep shelves are made up of 2 x 6" inch shelves. This provides the ultimate strength engineering wise as 2 + beams are stronger than one of equal depth. Note that the actual shelf dimension is 3/8 shorter to accommodate brackets so actual shelf dimension for 31 inch shelf is 30 5/8, for 48 it's 47 5/8 & for 24 inch shelf It’s 23 5/8 etc.

Can Shelves or Cabinets be placed at any height?
Yes, one Modern Shelving's unique design features is that shelf height and cabinet placement can be anywhere in the vertical range. For example cabinets can be set up high or low, inbetween shelves or at the top or bottom of unit.
Does the Shelf need to be attached to a wall?
Yes, for both strength and safety considerations we believe all modular shelving needs to be secured to the wall. Our system was designed this way for safety and strength and has 12 plus years of market design history and safety records. Mininimally invasive attachment kit included with detailed simple instructions.

How should weight be distributed across the individual shelves?
80lbs per shelf. We recommend placing your heavier items on the lower shelves of your Shelf. Additionally, we suggest evenly distributing your items horizontally across the shelves for maximum stabilty.
