Behind the Shelves: A Washington DC Area Installer Story

Behind the Shelves: A Washington DC Area Installer Story

Posted by Rebecca Parsons on

Nowadays, it’s even easier to find a professional installer or handyman for your home improvement project using your phone and apps. With just a few taps, you can connect with skilled experts ready to help bring your Modern Shelving vision to life with a vetted professional.

For those that don’t wish to take on the install themselves, we suggest hiring an installer to get your shelves set up for you. Although there are many professionals to choose from, one of our customers’ favorite east coast installers is called P and G Construction Services in the Maryland area.

Frank Guyton has been in the construction industry for the past 30 years. 12 years ago, he decided to set out on his own and founded P and G, which services Maryland, DC, and Virginia and caters to a wide array of clientele.

We first heard about P and G when they did an install for one of our Washington, DC customers. The install was a very specific one as the client was an artist specializing in pottery and wanted shelves to display her various pieces. As such, she wanted each shelf to be a specific height for each individual piece of pottery. The result was stunning and the client was thrilled. We’ve been hearing good things about Frank and his company P and G ever since.

Check out this video featuring Frank as he brings Joyce and Ron Sousa's shelving vision to life!

“It’s a modular system, so once you figure out all the parts and pieces it literally turns into an assembly line and you can just crank out the installations,” says Guyton. “It’s kind of a dream come true for someone who manages projects.”

P and G recently completed an impressive shelving installation for RELAPSE, a clothing retail store located in Baltimore, Maryland. The project featured two long walls with shelving set against a sleek metal partition. With their expertise, P and G had everything installed and ready to go in just a couple of days, allowing the store to open shortly after.

“I really like Modern Shelving,” says Guyton. “One, for the way it looks. It’s really sleek, modern, and minimal. And they’re functional.”

If you’re located in the DC metro area, we highly recommend reaching out to P and G for assistance with your Modern Shelving installation. Click HERE to visit their website.
